What a cute hobbit house! They were so fun and adorable. The beds were comfy and the room was warm. I did have a bit of a time finding the place - because its tucked behind a hill. The common house was good enough. The water pressure for the shower was good. This accommodation is exactly what I was expecting. I was not surprised by anything. Glad we stayed here for the night.

Deze camping heeft een Ongelooflijk mooie, propere en gezellige keuken met heerlijk warme zitzaal.
En de douche? Die is zoals bij ons thuis. Buiten aan de douchecabine ligt er een zacht tapijtje. Niks is vuil of nat in de badkamer. Zo kan ik na het douchen en afdrogen op blote voeten verder lopen naar de gezellige zitruimte. Geen gesukkel om propere voeten proper en droog te houden. Echt maf.

Na 12 dagen kamperen met ons tentje in IJsland is deze luxe heerlijk. En toch staan we midden in de natuur, omringd door hoge bergen weg van het stadje. Meer dan Een aanrader!!!

Hervorragender Campingplatz, absolute Empfehlung.
Sehr gut gelegen, umgeben von hohen Felsklippen und trotzdem mit Meerblick, sehr viel Platz für Zelte und Camper, sehr windgeschützter Standort. Wiese mit vielen Hügeln und Steinen, dadurch rückt man sich automatisch nicht so auf die Pelle aber Levelramps sind von Vorteil.
Große, gut ausgestattete Küche (keinerlei Lebensmittel) und warmer Aufenthaltsraum.
4 große Duschen inklusive , 4 WCs, Waschmaschine und Trockner gegen Gebühr vorhanden.
Der Extrastern ist für die Sauberkeit....die Einrichtungen wurden mehrmals am Tag gereinigt und waren damit immer sauber und einladend.
5000 ISK für 2 Personen pro Nacht ohne Strom ist völlig angemessen.
Für uns nach fast 4 Wochen Camping in Island einer der schönste Campingplätze.

Jedna noc, tři lidi ve stanu 7,500 isk.
Camp je výborně vybavený, kuchyňka s dostatkem nádobí (+toaster, rychlovarná konvice), kávovar kde si můžete udělat kafe za 300kr, zároveň sušička a pračka za 1000 isk.
Odpočinková místnost, sprchy, dostatek toalet. Špičkově uklizené, moderně zařízené. Camp je obklopen nádhernými výhledy a kousek od Elephant Rock. Doporučujeme na 100%!

We stayed two nights in one "barrel" and one A-frame. They were very nice! The beds were comfortable (although only one pillow.) The kitchen had two hot plates for cooking, but lots of pots and pans, silverware, glasses, etc. Very clean. Plenty of room for families to eat/ play games/ etc. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the shower situation. There was one shower for the whole campground and it did not drain well. There are three additional showers but they were not working. There is one washer and one dryer but you must use them after the staff is finished. You are supposed to pay to use them but they are not coin operated so we didn't end up paying... You can rent towels.

Bester Campingplatz, den wir (2 Jungs) auf unserer kompletten Fahrradreise auf Island besucht haben. Wir wurden super herzlich empfangen und uns wurden alle Einrichtung (Gemeinschaftsküche, Duschen, Waschmaschine etc. gezeigt). Bei Bedarf könnt ihr auch auf Deutsch mit der Inhaberin sprechen - sie wird sich freuen, ihr Deutsch wieder auffrischen zu können.

Die Küche hat eine super Ausstattung. Alle Räumlichkeiten sind sauber und absolut zweckdienlich eingerichtet.

Wenn man mit dem Zelt reist, ist definitiv der Platz am Amphitheater dem Platz am Hauphaus vorzuziehen. Der Ausblick ist unbezahlbar.

Small but comfortable, had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Delightfully different then the standard hotel option. Plus we golfed the adjacent gold course at midnight so our stay was brief, but uninterrupted. If you are going to make the effort to travel to Vestmann, you might as well stay in an elf hut.
