The hotel was good, but you're here for the waterfall out back. It's about a half a mile walk to the waterfall, so that's pretty neat. The restaurant is freaking delicious! If you're here, or near, you have to go here.

This is a very good hotel which has had a big renovation done during Covid, so if you have visited before 2020, you're in for an even more positive experience than last time you visited. I had at least. Rooms are pretty much the same. Comfy and well arranged if only a bit too small for two large bags. Restaurant is good and not too expensive either. The new breakfast room and the breakfast is also good. One of the better breakfasts I had during my winter trip on Iceland. Rooms are heated a bit too much if I should complain about anything.

Beautiful hotel near stunning scenery. You are able to walk to the waterfall from the hotel within 5 minutes. The roads leading to the hotel can be a bit slippery during the winter

Great place to grab a bite after walking up the waterfall. They have multiple vegetarian options, and I was able to get a vegan option too!

Ein tolles Hotel, das direkt neben dem Wasserfall gelegen ist. Wir sind vom sehr freundlichen Personal empfangen worden und haben uns auf Anhieb wohl gefühlt.
Das Zimmer war geräumig und modern, bequem und großzügig ausgestattet.
Einzig das Frühstück blieb hinter unseren Erwartungen zurück.

Very nice restaurant. Full range of food available.
The service was great, the speed of serving the food is also efficient.
We ordered two burgers, salad and fish. Portion is big and very tasty. We enjoyed to the max. And thank you for allowing to refill the water.

The hotel is easy to find, right next to Skogafoss waterfall. As other reviews, breakfast and service is good. I love the Lavazza coffee machine the most. The powdered chocolate saved my life when I got so cold and hungry after hiking!

Bý í nágrenninu og fór út með konuna og tvö börnin. Enginn barnamatseðill en bauðst pasta með tómatsósu eða "plain" borgari. Valdi tvo plain borgara fyrir börnin en var síðan rukkaður fullt verð fyrir venjulegan nautakjötsborgara! Ekki króna í afslátt þó börnin hafi fengið strípaðan borgara með brauði og osti.

My family (kids age 14 and 11) stayed one night during a recent trip and it was a great overall experience. We arrived late in the evening after a full day of glacier activities further west. The hotel is very clean and modern and seemed to be very recently updated. We had two rooms which were both spacious and excellent. We arrived after dinner, but still had drinks at the hotel bar which has an amazing view of the Skogafoss waterfall. It was cold, so we sat inside, but there is a very nice patio as well. Breakfast in the morning had more limited offerings, but it was everything that you would need and all very good. The only thing that was particularly unique was the hot water is from a geothermal source, so taking a shower had a fairly strong sulfur smell. That was the only hotel in the trip that we experienced this. There are signs in the bathroom to make you aware and it really didn't matter, but it was different. Overall, the hotel is very clean, great staff, and a great location for anyone doing a multi-day trip along the southern coast.

Dit hotel ligt dicht bij de waterval . Het is een zelf check in hotel dus je krijgt een code om de deur te openen , helemaal makkelijk. Ik vond de kamer gezellig maar hij was echt erg klein en vooral de badkamer was echt te klein , ik kon mezelf amper wassen in de gootsteen . Daarom 3 sterren . Ontbijt was prima maar niet bijzonder . Wel een grote plus , het koffieapparaat op de gang . Alleen daarom zou ik een halve ster extra geven .
