Stay here for 1 night with 2 kids(aged 3 and 6). I would say the room is clean and the bed is pretty good compared to some Airbnb. Only 1 toilet with shower facilities in the room but no shower curtain to block the water from splashing out into the basin. Each bed has a bath towel and face towel. They even prepared a baby cot with a bath towel for my youngest child. Hot water, tea and coffee were provided at the common area for night time. Breakfast was provided. I would say it's pretty good, it has a few choices of beverages, spread for the bread and cereal. Definitely a good place to stay in for a night.
Only bad point for this is the toilet has a sewer smell.

I stayed in room 12 - brand new building. Large room, clean, had everything I needed, including a mini fridge. My room didn't have a TV but not an issue for me. Breakfast is included - note it's cold cuts, boiled eggs, coffee, and toast. Location is close to the Glacier Lagoon and worked perfectly for my itinerary. There is no front desk - check in is simply walk into the building and use the door code you are emailed to get into your room. Price is also right for what you get - a basic clean, modern room, and quick breakfast before starting your day in Iceland.

Had a hassle free stay for a night at this guest house. We were provided our room number and the code to open our room door a day in advance, and did not have any troubles checking in. Rooms are very basic but very clean and practical. Breakfast was included, and is pretty forgettable, but does the job!

Just as okay as one would expect it to be. Clean room, microwave is available in the common area to do some cooking upon arrival. Decent breakfast. Rather early checkout time. Decent location. The birds near the guesthouse seemed to be quite hostile, which was a bit uncomfortable.

Die Betten sind sehr gut und das Bad ist sauber. Es gibt ordentliches Frühstück und es Stand sogar Kaffee aus Thermoskannen am Eingang bei der Ankunft. Die Zimmer sind sehr nüchtern. So ein bisschen wie Krankenhaus Privatpatient aber auch sauber und mit sehr guten Betten und einem sauberen Bad. Die Wassermenge aus der Dusche könnte mehr sein. Die Zimmer laden nicht wirklich zum verweilen ein. Das ist hier aber auch nicht das Ziel.

We came in really really late past 12 midnight. A post-in-note in the lobby has the room code which made checking in easy with zero human contact. The beds were comfortable and toilet was clean. The morning breakfast was good to kick start our journey. Car can be parked right in front of main door. The whole place was just quiet ! Lobby has coffee-to-go and hot water with tea options. The only weird thing was we had to remove the bedding sheets and towels on check out day. It did not bother us so everyone just did it. Sire save a lot of time for the staff !

The location is good close to Jökulsarlon and the room is clean.
However, this place is overpriced and lacking some basics. There is no kitchen to prepare any food - this should be standard just as in other guesthouses, especially as there is nothing nearby. Also some rather basic things were missing such as a shower curtain.

The view from the rooms is gorgeous...just us and the misty mountain and the birds. The rooms were also neat and modern and comfortable (good quality bed linens too). The only thing I would have liked is a microwave in the room. The guesthouse is in the middle of nowhere and if there is no kitchen then it would have been great to have a microwave in the room. But all in all I recommend this place as a scenic and comfortable place to spend the night near Hofn.
