Disperso nel nulla del Nord Islandese siamo arrivati a questa guest house una notte nevosa di settembre e seppur ci siamo scontrati subito con un sacco di regole (a posteriori devo dire utilissime per il quieto vivere) abbiamo trovato un ambiente conviviale e confortevole. Il pradrone di casa si è fatto subito amare, mettendosi a disquisire piacevolmente con noi, dandoci anche ottimi tips di viaggio, subito prima di tornare in mezzo alla bufera a spalare la neve.
Nota ancor più di merito è stata quando una volta lasciata la casa, dopo una ventina di minuti di auto una delle gomme posteriori ha ceduto sgonfiandosi totalmente e dopo vani tentativi di riassestarla abbiamo chiamato il proprietario come nostra ultima salvezza e lui come nostro unico e splendente salvatore ed eroe è uscito dalla folta coltre di neve sul suo jippone monster truck 4x4 in letteralmente 5 min ha cambiato la ruota e ci ha salvati, meritandosi tutta la nostra gratitudine!

Tolles Guesthouse etwas abseits der Ringstraße N1. Perfekt für eine oder mehreren Nächte.
Die Zimmer und die WC/Duschen sind geräumig und sauber.
Die Küche ist perfekt eingerichtet und bietet auch fürs Frühstück alles was man benötigt. Natürlich nur so lange Vorrat da ist.
Die Aussicht in mitten der Natur ist einfach herrlich und bei Passeden Gegebenheiten kann man hier nachts auch Polarlichter beobachten.
Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Great location, Staff and Stay!!! Extremely grateful to the owner. I had no place to stay and they were fully booked. Instead of telling me good luck, kick rocks kid as most would say, he had the Inn keeper set me up a bed in the library. It was a very comfortable stay. Truly a pleasure to encounter good people! Thank You!!!

We stayed for one Night. Very comfortable beds. The kitchen is well Equipt and there are free breakfest items like bread, Butter and Jam.

Cozy little home with the necessary amenities for a good rest. The information shared when booking is thourough and useful. The breakfast provided is more than sufficient to get through the morning (bread, cereals, milk and butter). There is a N1 gas station 1 min by car away for anything else you need.

Tolle kleine Unterkunft für eine Nacht.
Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet. Es gibt eine kleine Bibliothek mit einer PS4 und Brettspielen 🙂
Die Küche ist super ausgestattet.
Der Gastgeber ist nett und Hilfsbereit.
Ein Wasserfall ist gleich um die Ecke und man hat eine tolle Aussicht 🙂

This is a wonderfully authentic guesthouse. With an ideal location just off the ring road the Fagrabrekka guesthouse is an ideal place to stay before entering the Westfjords. The management is extremely helpful, the staff is accommodating and welcoming. The facilities are an authentic Icelandic farm experience. I highly recommend this guesthouse for any travelers coming this way.
