I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Blue House, and I can genuinely say it was an experience to remember. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that immediately made me feel at home.

The stay itself was nothing short of wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully maintained—every detail seems to reflect care and consideration. Whether you’re there to relax, work, or explore, the space offers a perfect blend of comfort and charm.

What truly sets The Blue House apart, however, is its exceptional service. Every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and eager to help with anything needed. It’s rare to find such a dedicated team who clearly take pride in their work and the experience they provide for guests.

Our first night in Iceland was at the Blue House B&B. We were actually in a nearby house owned by the same people. The room was bigger than expected and my two teens and I had plenty of room. Fresh water was provided in the room for us and the communal parts of the house were clean as well. The security on the house and the lock on our door made us feel safe. We had to pay for breakfast because we booked through Booking rather than through the B&B's website. The breakfast was in the actual Blue House and was delicious! There was a Brazilian cake served along with coffee and cereal. The staff was knowledgeable and answered our questions via What's App while we were in town. We would definitely stay there again!

Unsere dritte und letzte Übernachtung auf unserem Kurztrip in Island verbrachten wir in Reykjavík. Die Unterkunft war gut zu finden und beim Check-in wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt. Schon bei der Ankunft durften wir unsere Wünsche für das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen äußern – ein toller Service! Das Bett war bequem und insgesamt entsprach alles genau der Beschreibung. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und würden wiederkommen. Klare Empfehlung!

Wir hatten mit 2 Pärchen das B&B frühzeitig gebucht, wurden dann jedoch paar Tage vorher darüber informiert, dass eine Partei ins Northern Lights, welches in der selben Straße ist, umziehen muss. Das war für uns persönlich kein Problem. Wenn das jedoch einer Familie passieren würde die Kinder hat könnte das problematisch sein. Wir wurden einfach vor unvollendete Tatsachen gestellt.
Generell war das Wohnzimmer und Esszimmer sehr gemütlich eingerichtet.
Wie so oft sind es oft die Hygienestandards der Mitbewohner, die eine solche Unterkunft entweder als gutes oder schlechtes Erlebnis in Erinnerung bleiben lassen.
In unserem Fall war es eher eine negative Erfahrung. Dafür kann aber das B&B nichts.
Preis Leistung stimmt, wenn man auf die Art Unterkunft steht.

Eines der schönsten b & b Gasthäuser in Reykjavík in den ich war. Die Zimmer sind super schön und es gibt sogar einen Deutschen Gastgeber. Mann bekommt hier super gutes Frühstück zudem. Ich würde es wieder buchen wenn ich mal da bin.

Really nice hostel! We stayed for two separate nights and were very happy with it. Clean, quiet, and convenient to the best place in Reykjavik to witness the northern lights. The staff was super friendly and full of tips, and made pancakes one of the mornings! We alternated between the bus and walking to get to the center, bus is reliable and walk is lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Would love to give four stars, because of the friendly staff who offered us free breakfast and overall nice location. However, we slept in the little side hut located next to the blue house and have to say that it's really obvious it was once meant to be a garage. Because of the thin walls the house never got warm even when the heater was on for several hours and it didn't feel isolated from the cold weather outside (we stayed in December) Plus, my boyfriend hated the showers, says they were moldy
