These are dozens of rock huts used to dry fish. The trail meanders through them and you can walk into one of the bigger ones.
The parking lot is a small paved area off the side of the road. Walk from the parking lot is about 5 minutes to the huts. Very windy, bring warm layers!

This was one of my favourite places on the tour. These are a little off the beaten track and you may miss the small lay-by carpark, so use GPS. A small 5 minute walk brings you to a meandering loop of a path that goes through rocks and avoids the precious moss. Spotted around the path are these historic stone huts that were once used to dry out fish, by the local fishermen. Well worth a visit if you get time to see them.

Short 10 minute visit off the side of the road that is worthwhile for those who appreciate history. These are dozens and dozens of rock huts used to dry fish. The trail allows you to walk into one of them, which appears to be one of the biggest huts.

The parking lot is a small paved area off the side of the road that can fit four cars. The hike from the parking lot is about 5 minutes.

A short walk out to ancient stone structures. Can only be observed, not interacted with. From the road, I would have just expected them to be lava rocks. Definitely worth the stop to stretch your legs and view some history.

Special place that has been standing still for the last 500 years. A true piece of Iceland's history, hidden in a beautiful lava field overlooking Snæfellsjökull glacier.
