Arrived there when it already dark (1800hrs). Easy check-in but staff not properly explain where the direction to the room is (even though it is small building). The corridor and room are quite dark with inadequate lighting. Room and toilet were clean, and toiletries provided are high quality (they provide L'Occitane shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom).

We spent one night at this hotel on January 3-4, 2024, and we were very satisfied. The room was clean, and the front desk staff was very helpful and kind [ special mention for the Ghost music playing when we arrived at the hotel 🙂 ]. We were also lucky enough to see our first Northern Lights through the large window in the room. French guests.

Leider war unser Aufenthalt im Höfn - Berjaya Iceland Hotels eine Enttäuschung. Das Zimmer war alt und sehr einfach eingerichtet, aber das Schlimmste war der starke Schimmelgeruch, der das Zimmer unbewohnbar machte.

Obwohl wir das Zimmer bezahlt hatten, haben wir uns dazu entschieden, in ein anderes Hotel zu wechseln, da es für uns unmöglich war, dort zu übernachten.

Wir können dieses Hotel leider nicht empfehlen und würden es aufgrund unserer Erfahrung nicht wieder buchen. 1 Stern.

After a long day trip exploring the southern coast we checked into our hotel room and our bed had bed bugs. We went to the front desk to tell them about this and they said they had no other rooms available. We requested a refund and they refused to give us one. They also not only charged us when checking in a “city fee” but also tried to charge us the fee again when we went to “check out” after finding the bed bugs. Im unsure what this is about since it also charged us fees and taxes when we initially booked the hotel in January and we havnt had to pay an extra fee in Vik or Reykavik.

My Fiancé also owns a pest control business in the states for background. Super dissatisfied with the service and would like a refund.

—- UPDATE: they told me to email them after leaving this review— they said “since i booked a non refundable room, the only thing they can do is move my booking to another date and I would have to pay the difference.”

Worst customer service and total scam of a business practice. Don’t recommend booking here.

The hotel was clean and the staff accommodating and clear with their instructions. The view was very nice (we got a water view room and it was worth the extra). The hotel has a breakfast buffet for about $33USD, or there is a local diner. The hotel location was great for a walk around Höfn or a walk on the water path. The only reason the hotel from as 4 stars instead of 5 is they could stand to dust the photos and headboard, otherwise great and worth the money

화장실이 너무 좁으며 전체적인 객실도 좀 작은편임. 뭔가 모르게 청결 부분에서 살짝 부족하며 저녁부터 바람이 많이 불었는데 창문이 심하게 흔들려 잘 못잠.. 체크인시 직원은 사무적이긴 했으나 체크아웃때 직원은 최고로 친절했음!

Our favorite hotel during our entire Iceland trip! Giant bay windows in the rooms with picturesque views, furnishings were very clean and aesthetic, bathroom was comfortable with all essential amenities. It’s also a 3-min walk to Pakkhus which was one of the best restaurants ever

Bellissimo hotel con vista sul piccolo porto di Hofn. Stanza accogliente. Colazione buona, qualche limite di troppo sulla parte relativa al dolce.
