AN ABSOLUTE MUST if you are in the West Fjords. Great stop for a quick break in between Dynjandi and Isafjordur. We went in October 2024, after Dynjandi & can't wait to one day come back. Get their homemade pastries and soup. The host/owner is an absolute gem, and she made us feel so welcomed.

We had just gotten engaged at Dynjandi, and we ordered the Wedding Cake, some coffee, and another dish. Everything was great.

Small shop with about 5-6 tables and some more outdoor seating (for when it's warmer). She shared with us that during that time of year, this area is one of the only Fjords you can see sunset. Only open during the spring-fall season (for obvious weather reason), I believe.

One of our favorite memories of our Iceland trip! She asked where we were from and my fiance is from Peru, which she said is her first visitor from Peru! A lovely family run business to support.

Perfekt! Ein Abstecher in das kleine Café lohnt sich 100%. Wir haben einen Käsekuchen und Schokokuchen bestellt und beides war fantastisch. Auch der Kaffee und kakao war ausgezeichnet. Die Besitzerin war auch super freundlich und herzlich. Definitiv einen Besuch wert und ein Highlight der ganzen Reise!

Cozy cafe with great food with the kindest hospitable host. So sweet of her to serve our coffee using HK mugs after asking us where we came from. We thoroughly enjoyed the cakes and smoked lumpfish. Owner surpsed us again with some freshly baked cookies just before we left . Very scrumptious.

Magique! Merveilleux au sens premier du terme ! Dans ce petit café familial, on se sent accueilli avec chaleur, bienveillance et générosité ! Le poisson fumé par Monsieur sur du pain noir cuit par Madame est à tomber! Tout est fait maison avec amour! Et, si vous lui demandez gentiment, Madame vous dédicacera sont conte pour enfant (en vente sur place) dans lequel elle vous raconte l'histoire de cette vache qui, pour fuir l'abattoir, a traversé le lac... Le livre illustré est écrit en islandais, anglais, allemand et français ! Ce petit café est un trésor bien caché qui mérite le détour !!!

we where looking something unique (not classic caffe) and we found this lil place and basically in the middle of nowhere. Menu was not big, but it was enough and basically choose everything what was on the list, and it was surprisingly veeeeery good. The feeling was that you are at your grandmas house for lunch and host was so nice <333 the cheesecake was exceptionally delicious. 10/10

Wat een leuke mevrouw verwelkomde ons. We kwamen voor een kopje koffie en de cheesecake. Toen we vertelden dat we uit Nederland kwamen, kregen we de koffie in bekers uit Holland. Ze verzamelt bekers van plekken waar ze is geweest. Ze serveerde een fles met water van ‘haar berg’ om te proberen. Hartstikke leuk. De cheesecake was superlekker, romig en met stukjes rabarber.

I was recently participating in the Arna Westfjords Way Challenge and Kaffi Sól was the final cultural connection point before the last major pass. I missed the time slot and had been riding for 24 hours. When the owners of Kaffi Sól heard that I was still out there riding, they got in their car to find me. They stopped me and introduced themselves. It was midnight. Then, they insisted on giving me hot coffee and cocoa and homemade pastries to help me finish the race. This kind gesture is so emblematic of the hospitality and genuine kindness of the Icelandic people... especially in the Westfjords. I will never forget this act of kindness to a complete stranger. It literally brought tears to my eyes and helped motivate me to finish the race. Thank you! I will never forget this. You can see from my pictures that the location of Kaffi Sól is breathtaking. Must visit!!!
