An impressive geothermal spot with sulfuric steam vents and bubbling mud pools. The smell of sulfur is very strong but adds to the authentic geothermal experience. The landscape looks almost alien, definitely worth a visit. Parking is available for a pretty high fee.

Recorriendo está zona de Hverir, un paisaje de otro mundo no existe vegetación en este lugar por el accidentado del terreno y las altas temperaturas, añadiendo el fuerte olor a azufre. Este paisaje surrealista se ha convertido en uno de los puntos fuertes para ser visitado, mejor ver las fotos y el vídeo para tener la idea preconcebida.

Hverir was one of the most fascinating places I visited in Iceland. The bubbling mud pots, hissing steam vents, and bold mineral colors created a truly otherworldly atmosphere. The sulfur smell is strong (and not exactly pleasant), but it adds to the experience. I loved the vibrant, colorful pits—absolutely worth the stop. Wear sturdy shoes, as the ground is hot and sticky. Free parking nearby.

Parking fee was expensive in comparison to other tourist locations and toilets require payment before use!
The smoker and surrounds were very cool to look at. The smell of sulphur was very strong so be warned when you visit!

Area geotermica impressionante a pochi km da lago Mývatn. Si accede facilmente dalla strada con parcheggio a pagamento. Sicuramente una delle zone più caratteristiche di tutta l’Islanda, con pozze di fango bollenti, fumarole sulfuree e paesaggi alieni. Consigliato un giro se si è di passaggio in quelle zone

Super Cooles Geothermales Gebiet. Es gibt Schlammlöcher. Es gibt extrem Starke Schwefelsmoker. Und man findet sogar Schwefel am Boden!
Jedoch nichts für Menschen mit feinem Riecher.

La parte finale del parco geotermico dove sono più presenti fumarole e buche di fango ribollenti. Il tutto da una sensazione di stranezza perché sono cose che vedi quasi solo qui. L'odore mi auguro sia solo di zolfo e non di altri gas. Sicuramente è un'esperienza unica e irripetibile

- Le fumarole presenti qui sono uniche al mondo e sono attive continuamente e senza sosta.
- L'odore nell'aria è abbastanza sgradevole, ma di fronte a fenomeni naturali come questi, passa tutto in secondo piano.
