Ég varð fyrir vonbrigðum með þjónustu og drykkina. Langar ekki aftur.

This was our first visit to Iceland and we could not have chosen a better hotel. From the efficient friendly staff to the wonderful central location, the amazing rooftop deck with delicious cookies to a small door for gnomes, and relaxing spa to the casually elegant rooms everything was top notch. The food at the Tides restaurant was exquisite, the breakfast buffet was brilliant, and the coffee shop was also excellent. But what truly made this hotel exceptional was the time the staff took to genuinely address questions, ask about our plans and our stay. We were delighted that Enrique, a member of the restaurant team, shared our enthusiasm for a guided walk exploring the city and its folklore and were happily surprised by a slim book on Folklore that he gifted us at the end of the day. The Edition Hotel was a stellar place to stay in order to explore Reykjavík and the surrounding area.

This was a lovely day! Kevin at the front desk, checked us in and was very friendly and tried to accommodate us. We are very happy with his service. In the evenings, my husband and I would go to the lobby bar and the bar food is amazing! We were always greeted and served by Thomas and Isaac every evening and both have incredible service! Rooms are very average, but nice.

Conveniently located on the waterfront next to the convention center, this EDITION hotel is perfectly situated for exploring downtown Reykjavik. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping within a short 5-10 minute walk. The rooms are well proportioned, clean, and functional. However, the best part of this hotel is the super friendly and helpful staff! The amazing service is why they earned the Five Star review. Thank you for making our stay so memorable! Pro tip: the driveway is a bit narrow and can be crowded, so let the valet handle your rental car.

We recently stayed at this hotel in Reykjavik and appreciated its excellent central location — you can easily walk to restaurants, shops, and even a 24/7 convenience store. The rooms were spotless and beautifully designed with a sleek, modern feel. The hotel features a great café, a nice restaurant, and a stylish bar — all on the high-end side price-wise.||While the stay was overall pleasant, for $1,000 per night, I expected more to be included. Valet parking was an additional ~$50 per night, and the service wasn’t particularly reliable or prompt. I really appreciated the Marriott app for requesting amenities, which made things a lot smoother.||One standout was the concierge — she was incredibly kind and patient, answering all our questions and offering thoughtful recommendations throughout our stay. Her helpfulness really elevated the experience.||One quirk was the way housekeeping was handled. Room cleaning and dish/glass clearing were managed by separate teams — housekeeping and bar service — which meant coming back from a long day to find used cups still sitting around. We were told the bar team would handle those "at some point before 5 PM," which felt disjointed for a hotel in this price range.||The gym was a highlight — well-equipped and clean. I didn’t use the spa, but it’s included in a daily "destination fee" (about 7,000 ISK per day) that can only be used at the restaurant, bar, or café — not room service or the minibar — and the credit doesn't roll over.||Overall, this is a strong option if cleanliness, design, and location are top priorities and you're willing to pay a premium. It’s semi kid-friendly, very clean, and centrally located. But if you're on a tighter budget or easily frustrated by small service delays, you might want to look elsewhere.

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its beautifully modern design- sleek lines, warm textures, and a calming Scandinavian aesthetic that felt both luxurious and inviting.

Location, Location, Location
Centrally located, this hotel sits just steps away from Reykjavik’s scenic waterfront and the vibrant downtown core. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely stroll along the harbor or a quick walk to boutiques, restaurants, and cultural sites, everything is conveniently close.

Rooftop Views to Remember
The rooftop views are breathtaking. Whether sipping cocktails under the midnight sunset or taking in panoramic views of the city and sea, it’s a space that elevates the entire experience, literally and figuratively.

Highly Recommended
This hotel stole our hearts. Every detail is thoughtfully curated, and it’s clear that comfort, style, and location were top priorities in its design. We left wishing we could stay just a little longer.

My wife and daughter were super grateful to stay at this hotel, they gave me very nice credit for booking such a cool and swanky place! I don’t get that response normally so I grabbed onto it this time.

The room was so nice, super modern, spacious, great finishes and details. The staff is amazing, the lobby and rooftop bars were very hip and full of what seemed like cool people.

The location is awesome with a nice food market basically next door, and very close to the rest of downtown Reykjavík.

I was originally a little apprehensive with booking this place as I had read that avoiding Reykjavík completely is a smart move, but I ran with it and have zero regrets, only happiness how much my family enjoyed it!
