This was one of the greatest, if not the greatest Icelandic experience for me.

The bot trip was awesome, we have been to different beautiful stunning caves. In the last one the captain played saxophone.

The staff was really friendly and helpful.

After the boat trip, i did also the bus tour. It took about 2 hours and was full of very interesting spots, sagas and history.

If you are on the Island i would totally recommend this tour.

I didn't actually buy a tour from this company but I rented a bike from them. It was an incredibly windy day with rain, making it nearly impossible to bike the road to see the puffins. I decided to turn back and abandon my idea. While I was walking back, the owner pulled up in his car and offered to drive me to see the puffins completely free of charge. I was so impressed by his generosity and hospitality that I had to write this review. If I had stayed longer on the island I would have bought an official tour!

Gefährlich! Keine Auswahl, keine Beratung.
2 Bikes für 5 Stunden gemietet, nach 1 Stunde total frustriert wieder abgegeben.

- Nur Mountainbikes, Grössenauswahl sehr schlecht, mussten zu kleine Bikes (M) nehmen, da L nicht vorhanden
- nur Trapezrahmen, für Leute die sich schwer tun beim Aufsteigen nicht geeignet.
- Abstiege in Notfallsituationen (starke Windböhe) nicht möglich (Trapezrahmen im Weg), bin gestürzt (glücklicherweise nicht an der Hauptstrasse), habe jedoch mehrere Blutergüsse und einen geprellten Arm.
- Fahren eine Qual, Lenker zu niedrig & Sattel viel zu schmal / für Männer zwar geeignet, Frauen scheinen jedoch nicht berücksichtigt zu werden (Stichwort: Sitzknochenabstand = sass weniger als 30 Minuten auf dem Bike und habe einen Tag später noch immer Schmerzen).

Fazit:
Sehr schade, da die Bikevermietung eine gute Idee ist, wir geplant hatten um die Insel zu fahren. Daraus wurde leider nichts.
Für Familien mit Kindern und ungeübte Bikefahrer nicht zu empfehlen.
Zum einen, da sehr viel direkt an der Hauptstraße gefahren werden muss.
Zum andren, da die Bikes nicht für Jedermann ausgelegt sind.

Updated 5/23/23: This review finally got their attention and we received our refund, two months later. I've changed the rating from 1 star to 3 stars.

Previous review:
Due to windy weather, our ferry to the Vestman Islands was cancelled, and therefore, so was our tour. Viking Tours emailed us to say they'd offer a refund, yet it never arrived. We have repeatedly tried contacting the company and have received no reply. Avoid this company at all costs.

I don't recommend renting bikes if you want to see the puffins. My kids and I saved this for our last day in Iceland and spent a very frustrating day on the island. It is not a family friendly bike island with huge hills and bikes sharing roads with busses and cars. My kids we so sad that they came all this way and never got the chance to see the puffins. Not only a huge waste of money but we all left feeling so sad we may never make it back and we didn't get to see them.

Awesome tour and the Captain knows his stuff. Great sailing even if the weather was cold and rainy. There is a spectacular saxophone 🎷 concert at the end of the tour... well worth waiting for!
