Room size is like a hotel room but upgraded, comfortable and quiet. Location is close to the town. There is a nice common area, lounge/bar and large "breakfast room". There is a sauna and hot tub that we didn't use. Outdoor seating and nice view of the river (that is apparently great for salmon fishing). Nice that coffee, tea, water, fruit & cookies are available all day in the breakfast room. Breakfast is a large variety - not cooked to order but good if you're willing to spend 18E each extra.

We decided to stay one night in Hella to break up the long driving from Hofn to Reykjavik. The cabins are close to the river and our room had a great view. Although they mentioned that there would be free wi-fi, we were not able to get it in our room. Someone said in another review that the internet didn't work on room 17. We were in room 11 and didn't work either. It was not a big deal, since we were there for just one night and wanted to enjoy the place. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not included. All the communication was through email and they left the cabin open with the key inside. In one of the messages that I received from them, they mentioned that we could have breakfast in the fishing lodge nearby, but it was super expensive, so we decided not to. They were also able to accommodate my baby's needs and provided a crib in our room. One last point is that the hot water was limited since the water was heated by electricity. Overall, we had a good experience and this is a perfect option if you want something rustic and private.

Las cabañas estaban muy bien, eran espaciosas y las camas muy comodas. Tienen su baño privado con ducha, todo muy limpio y agradable. Tienen café y te para hacerte en la habitación. El rio pasando a escasos metros de tu porche le da un toque muy bonito. Si bien nos enviaron el numero de cabaña y las intrucciones por e-mail y esta todo muy bien explicado aunque no haya nadie para recibirte (cosa habitual en muchos alojamientos en Islandia), si que había alli una pareja que nos recibio y fueron muy amables. Estan muy cerca del pueblo de Hella.

El hotel es muy agradable y bonito, ubicado en una zona apartada pero muy linda, a la vera de un río, y es especial para avistar las famosas auroras boreales (en el caso de que se produzcan). Parece que también es uno de los preferidos por los pescadores del salmón.||Tuve la suerte de poder disfrutar del famoso espectáculo de las auroras prácticamente a metros del hotel. El paisaje de atardecer visto desde alguno de los espacios de uso en común fue muy bonito.||Las habitaciones son cómodas, sencillas.||La calefacción y el agua caliente son adecuadas para el rigor del clima en ese lugar de Islandia. ||El cuarto de baño es sencillo, como así también las amenities.||La atención es muy buena. ||La calidad del sueño es muy buena.||El personal es muy cordial.||Tanto el desayuno como la cena (que teníamos incluída) fueron excelentes.||El hotel cuenta con una piscina exterior y un yacuzzi. ||Buena conexión wi-fi.||Lo recomiendo y volvería

Hôtel récent qui est bien plus beau à l'intérieur que ne pourrait laisser croire l’extérieur. Le Jacuzzi (sans bulle comme souvent en Islande) sur une terrasse surplombant la rivière est bien agréable. Les chambres sont dans un style épuré mais confortable. La salle de bain manque de charme (autre point récurrent en Islande). Les salons sont très spacieux et la décoration réussie tourne bien évidemment autour du saumon. Boissons chaudes en libre service. Très bon wifi.||Je recommande cet hôtel.

Really enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. The food was excellent, particularly the breakfast. Unusually for Iceland this hotel had both a hot and cold buffet at breakfast time and by the two waffle makers were carefully measured jugs of batter so you couldn't go wrong with making the most delicious instant waffles.|On our first night at dinner we were told that the north lights were showing so we went out onto the nearby balcony and saw a brief demonstration.|We could also sign to request a wake up call after midnight if the aurora borialis were to appear again.|Great stay and would highly recommend the Ranga|

Very clean and very quiet. I think we may have been 1 of 3 or 4 bookings. Excellent location on a beautiful river with a waterfall 2 mins away. The lady in charge was very friendly, showed us around and made us a superb very filling breakfast. We weren't in time for the restaurant and local food options are limited so plan ahead. The local petrol station offers some good basic fare.
